Riviera Maya Weddings
Riviera Maya is Mexico's highest-volume beach wedding destination and the most sought-after by international couples. The 120-kilometer coastal corridor between Puerto Morelos and Tulum offers 48 verified venues, including all-inclusive Caribbean-facing resorts, jungle cenotes, restored haciendas, and white-sand beaches with turquoise water. Cancun International Airport (CUN), the best-connected airport in Latin America, receives direct flights from CDMX (2h 15min), all of North America, and Europe, simplifying logistics for destination weddings.
Riviera Maya spans the Caribbean coast of Quintana Roo, along the world's second-largest barrier reef. The landscape combines low tropical jungle, mangroves, cenotes (karst formations with crystalline water), and calcareous sand beaches. Maya heritage is present at archaeological sites such as Tulum, Coba, and Ek Balam. Playa del Carmen serves as the urban hub with Quinta Avenida, restaurants, and nightlife. Further south, the Tulum and Sian Ka'an area offers a more bohemian and natural atmosphere.
