Weddings in Tepoztlán

Tepoztlán is the destination for couples seeking a wedding surrounded by nature without straying too far from Mexico City. 1 hour 30 minutes by highway, the town is nestled in a valley protected by volcanic rock cliffs reaching 2,000 meters in altitude. Venues leverage views of the Tepozteco mountain and low deciduous jungle vegetation to create settings that need no additional decoration. The offering concentrates on boutique hotels with spas, private gardens, and organic farms with capacity for intimate and medium-sized weddings.

Tepoztlán is a Pueblo Mágico with pre-Hispanic roots felt on every corner. The Tepozteco pyramid, dedicated to Ometochtli (god of pulque), crowns the mountain that dominates the valley. The Sunday market offers crafts, itacates, and local-flavor ice creams. The community has a strong cultural identity reflected in the February carnivals and equinox celebrations. The semi-tropical climate, with temperatures between 15 and 28 degrees, allows for outdoor events most of the year.
