3h 30min via the Mexico-Queretaro highway and then federal highway 111 toward San Miguel. Alternative: a 1h flight to Leon/Guanajuato (BJX), then 1h 15min by road. A 55min flight to Queretaro (QRO), then 1h 15min by road.

High season: October to May, with peaks during Day of the Dead (November), Christmas, and Easter. Low season: July and August. San Miguel has high demand year-round due to international tourism.
